Since 2022, Nick Nevares has excelled as the owner and broker of Mountainside Realty, a Colorado-based real estate firm through which he specializes in providing resources for clients who seek alternative housing options in the current market. Initially aspiring to enter the field of real estate due to a friend’s encouragement, Mr. Nevares discovered that his natural aptitude for hard work, self-discipline and extroverted attitude fit the real estate industry perfectly. He is certified as a green realtor through the National Association of Realtors.

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Nevares commenced his career as a sales manager for Mardi Gras Productions in 2004. Appointed to his position after receiving his bachelor’s degree from Loyola University New Orleans, he specialized in event management ranging from Mardi Gras ballroom evenings to corporate events. Shortly thereafter, he served as a senior account executive for BBC Destination Management, having traveled across the world. During this time, he sat on the board and served as president of the New Orleans chapter of the International Special Events Society before becoming the director of event experiences at The Solomon Group. There, Mr. Nevares built a unique clientele ranging from CBS, Essence Music Festival and the National Basketball Association and produced events for their leisure.

Outside of his primary work, Mr. Nevares dedicates much of his time to civic service. Currently, he serves as the producer for The Crestone Energy Fair, the longest-running sustainability fair in the United States, starting his position five years ago. Additionally, he is a Reiki practitioner and has lent his expertise to volunteering in homeless shelters and soup kitchens.

As a testament to his success, Mr. Nevares has received numerous accolades. In 2012, he was recognized among the Top 40 Under 40 Business Professionals in New Orleans by Gambit Magazine. He was also named a Rising Star of the Year by the Association of Destination Management Professionals International. In the coming years, Mr. Nevares intends to build upon the present success of Mountainside Realty and volunteer more time to humanitarian endeavors.
